Friedrichshafen, Munich, Lille, Paris, 23 January 2006 - The implementation of ERP5 Infoterra´s TerraSAR-X Commercial Service Segment (TSXX) has reached a major milestone with the delivery of a complete order management system as an integrated element of the overall TSXX back office landscape with several interfaces, e.g. to DLR, EADS Astrium SAP, and Receiving Stations located around the globe by Unilog Avinci in December 2005. Infoterra GmbH holds the exclusive commercial exploitation rights for TerraSAR-X and is currently installing the Commercial Service Segment for the spacecraft. ERP5 is an advanced open source ERP software created by Nexedi. The implementation of ERP5 for the TerraSAR-X was conducted by Unilog Avinci Munich Office with the support of Nexedi and Nuxeo. more
ERP5 Live CD v1.0-rc7 available via BitTorrent

A new ERP5 Live CD is available at: http://torrent.erp5.org/erp5-1.0rc7.iso.torrent This release is based on the Oct. 27 2005 CVS version. Normally, it will be the last version based on Mandrakelinux 10.1. The next version will be based on Mandriva 2006. Update:The Zope version embedded in this live CD is know to have an empty "Undo" tab in the ZMI. This bug was corrected in the 2.7.8 version of Zope and will be available in the next Live CD release.
Business Templates Section Updated

A couple of early stage business templates are now available in the Download area of erp5.org. Business Templates are software packages which leverage the ERP5 framework to implement a business application. They are the missing piece between ERP5 codebase and a usable solution. Nexedi is developing Business Templates on a volonteer base, starting with accounting. All Coramy ERP5 features will be progressively integrated into generic business templates (PDM, MRP, CRM, etc.)

Slides from the CPS/ERP5 miniconference, that took place on the first day of the Zope/CPS/ERP5 sprint in Paris, are now available,
as well as pictures taken during the conference and the coding
sessions, featuring people from: Nuxeo; Nexedi; Capgemini; Unilog; Code
and Syntax; University of Chalmers; CEA (French Atomic Energy
Commission); the french Ministry of interior, internal security and
local rights.
ERP5 Awarded by Decision Informatique Professional Magazine

Coramy, a European leader of apparel industry and first user of ERP5, was awarded best ERP implementation project in the special edition of Décision Informatique on June, 21st, 2004. A panel of 40 corporate managers, researchers and journalists voted this award and elected ERP5 out of 400 projects. They recognize the excellence of ERP5 implementation as Open Source / Libre Software in a highly mission critical manufacturing environment.

ERP5 mailing lists up and running

ERP5 mailing lists are up and running again. The erp5-users is a good place to share experience about the use and configuratino of ERP5. Do not hesitate to subscribe or look at archives . The erp5-dev mailing list is intended for core developers to share information about technical additions to the common CVS.
ERP5 Portal Structure Updated

ERP5 new web site structure is close to completion. The site is divided in 3 main sections: ERP, standards and Free Software. The ERP section intends to build a knowledge base of ERP methodologies. The Standards section is the place to share information about useful standards in ERP systems. The Free Software intends to provide a complete software toolkit for ERP5 implementors and developpers. Other sections provide Documentation Download and Screenshots of ERP5. Projects are now handled through workspaces in a dedicated project area

Screenshot section now contains a first batch of shots taken from live production systems running ERP5. Each screenshot includes a detailed description of ERP5 uniques features (variations, trade profiles, clustering, custom workflows). More screenshots will be added soon. All news...
