ERP5 LiveCD

  Overview

    ERP5 LiveCD is the easiest way to obtain free ERP solution.
    With this CDROM, you can run a complete ERP5 system without
    installing any software into your computer.
    
    We aim at providing ERP5 LiveCD to make it easier to evaluate,
    start and even use ERP5 seriously in a production environment.

  Requirement

    - Pentium-compatible CPU (such as Pentium4 and Athlon)

    - 128MB memory (256MB or higher is much better)

    - Bootable CDROM drive

    - Hard disk with 512MB free space

  Setup

    For Windows users:

    1. Extract the zip file "erp5cd.zip" in this CDROM.
       You can use WinZip, StuffIt Expander, Aladdin Expander
       or a similar tool to unpack a zip file.

       After extracting "erp5cd.zip", it creates a folder "erp5cd"
       which contains one file inside ("fs.img").

    2. Move the folder "erp5cd" to the top level of a drive
       (such as "C:\" or "D:\").

    3. Reboot your system with this CDROM.

    For Linux users:

    1. Make a directory "erp5cd" under the top directory of
       a partition. For example, it can be /home/erp5cd, if
       your home directory is in a separate partition. Note that
       this partition must have free space enough (at least 512MB).

    2. Reboot your system with this CDROM.

  Reformatting your hard disk

    You can reformat your hard disk optionally. Reformatting a hard
    disk is desirable for serious use, because this improves the
    performance and the flexibility. However, this will delete all
    the data on your disk, including your operating system, as the
    disk will be used only for ERP5. So it is strongly recommended
    to make a backup before reformatting your disk.

    If you understand the risk of reformatting and are willing to
    proceed, please use the web interface after starting this Live
    CD. In this interface, you will be prompted to enter a password.
    The password is "okdelete" (without double-quotes).
